You teach, I coach
We start with what you saw. Then everyone teaches a piece of the lesson while the others play students, and we work through the hard parts and class setup.
Two weeks later, we meet for a 45-minute group Q&A call, once you've had a chance to teach on your own.

What stays with me
My class names, method names and brand materials stay with me. That includes "Mahjong Made Simple," "Mahjong Made Simpler," "Mahjong Made Teachable" and any other Master Your Mahjong name, logo or material.
Questions about becoming a teacher.
Am I good enough to teach?
If you play comfortably and have plenty of full games behind you, yes. You don't need to be the best player in the room. You need to know what to say first, and that's exactly what we work on.
What if a student asks a rule I don't know?
It happens to every teacher, including me. We practice what to say in the moment and how to find the answer in the National Mah Jongg League rule book without losing the table.
What happens between the two group classes?
You observe one of my live beginner classes, in person or on Zoom. If no class lines up before class two, you observe the next one after it at no charge and bring your notes to the group call.
What do I need to bring?
The current National Mah Jongg League card. For Zoom, your own mahjong set. The Mahjong Made Teachable guide is included in the group class.
I've never played. Can I still train?
Yes. My one-on-one Learn, Then Teach path starts with a learn-to-play lesson and practice games before any teacher training. Or take a beginner class first and join a later group.
Can I say I trained with you?
You're welcome to say you were "Trained by Master Your Mahjong." My class names, method names and materials stay with me, including "Mahjong Made Simple," "Mahjong Made Simpler" and "Mahjong Made Teachable." The guide license covers one instructor.
